Motorbikes in S E Asia.

In Thailand motorbikes are everywhere you look. They are used for an incredible amount of jobs, carrying the family around, taxis, delivering just about anything, mobile kitchens, coolrooms, shops, restaurants, bars etc. Its amazing sometimes to see what people can carry on a bike. In Hanoi there are an estimated 4 Million motorbikes, and everyone of them is beeping their horn continually. Thailand is quiet & peaceful by comparison, Burma is as noisy as Vietnam and in Cambodia they are starting to make more noise. You can stand on any street or corner for a while and see some incredible motorbike contraptions & sights.

Riding in the rain, Thai style.
The Police heading to the Kata/Nai Harn junction to set up a no helmet operation. They do this nearly very day in high season and catch many Farangs (westerners)..500Baht fine for no helmet.
